I have solar. It works. However, Goldin had to 'upgrade' our electrical components as part of the install. About 6 months after installation we started having electrical issues. Goldin would only respond within 48 to 72 hours of being contacted meanwhile we would either be without power or intermittent power. I requested they come take a look and they were forcing me to give them a credit card authorization before they would come out. They kept stating their 'remote diagnostics' show everything is fine. So I did a $50k paid in full project with your company and that's how they you business? Turns out, I called a real electrical company, not some 2 bit independent contractor. The issue was the poor quality components along with improperly grounded and installed components around the junction box. $7k later, problem resolved, but not with Goldin. We have already started the filing process to hold them accountable. Our solar is working well. But they could have saved themselves the legal hassle and the bad word of mouth had they just came and take a look. It's not like we bought a flea market item...$50k and they put up all these barriers to come take a look at their shoddy work...not good. Again, our solar works fine. We paid a premium for what we figured would be premium work and service. I'm sure they will respond with this n that. I am satisfied with the solar part of the project...but I would not let them touch my roof, my electrical, only the solar (if that) but personally I lost 'trust'. A good business relationship starts after the deal is closed. We will be seeing them soon.

We had a great experience with our Goldin Solar installation. Salko was the electrician and very helpful in explaining the work onsite, placement of the equipment and batteries, and identification of a problem with the initial design which was fixed before work started. All permits were taken care of and people showed up when they said they would. They were very communicative on providing status updates along the way.

Goldin is great up until they have your money. Our sales guy promised us everything under the sun (including that the panels would be installed by the end of the year). The minute the plans permit was approved by the city, we had a bill in our inbox - we paid immediately only to have to hound them for any future communication. The promised 4-6 weeks to schedule installation was in fact 4 months. The 2 week installation took 6 weeks. And then again the minute they had the permit in hand (even though the system was not running properly yet) they billed us and emailed and called and couldn't communicate with us enough. Well they can wait for their $$ just like I waited for my installation.
